Raj Sandhu is a Berlin based cultural producer and currently Director of Programmes for the Yerevan Biennial Art Foundation and for the first Yerevan Biennial 2020-2021. Raj Sandhu brings a vast experience of over 10 years working in a contemporary art context, with a grounding in a Fine Art background. With a distinct interest and focus on Biennials and an extensive experience of commissioning new works in the public space supported by museums, institutions and galleries internationally. Raj has worked with over 150 artists on new commissions for contemporary art exhibitions, developed educational projects, and public programs.
Her past work comprises of four editions of Liverpool Biennial festival from 2003 to 2010 and establishing the first Indian Biennale, Kochi Muziris Biennale 2012, as Head of Programs and Strategy. Working within the UK creative industries landscape at a place making agency Creative Quarter, Nottingham and more recently working with the artist Tomas Saraceno, for his Carte Blanche at Palais de Tokyo, Paris.
